PC PROBLEMS, HELp!?

I've be getting a windows stop error. Also, when the laptop is shutting down, it shows the windows xp peak saying window is shutting down for about 5-10 minutes, beside the hard drive sitting desk, until the hard drive lantern finally lights up and the pc shuts down. How do i fix these stuff?

You might own virus in your PC so scan it and defrag once.

for free antivirus (you should own atleast 2 antivirus software in your PC-Make sure not conflicted ones) download.

sounds like a program is hung up, or trying to run. look contained by task arranger, see whats running.
it's hard to speak without any added info. but you could have a desperate hard drive or power supply. filch care.
something is getting hung up. do a system restore hindmost to before the problem started, and as you would expect run some virus and spyware scans, defragg,, the usual verbs up stuff.
