Have you tried resetting the channel, shifting the batteries or re-pairing it if it is a bluetooth nouns? It's possible that it simply lost connection or that the battery that are in it weren't fully juiced.
Addendum: Sometimes wireless trappings may lose their signal and simply need to be re-synched onto a different vessel. There may be other items in the home or department that interfere with the frequency individual used.
