Your hard drive should own one electrical connection it will hold four wires running into one connection. The plug is usually white and is referee to as a molex connector. You can only plug it within one way it have a special shape to stop it from being reversed. If it is a standard ATA complex drive you will have a information cable (very flat and wide) that will dance to your motherboard. If it is a Serial ATA it will have a small red lead (think 1/2 inch wide) that will go to the mother board. Make sure that both are plugged contained by to the hard drive. While you are within the case check the rest of the connections to see if any are loose.
